Dig Intuit

Evidently, resisting the allure of online publication is a fairly futile exercise. It’s hard to deny the merits of having such a versatile instrument as the Internet with which to fiddle, let alone the blogosphere for periodic cyber romps. Equally hard, is the acceptance that its 2010 and I am absent my personal robot, my hovercraft, and world peace. But the consciousness (globally speaking) manifesting in this technology is intrinsically more rewarding. What could be better than connecting and mingling with the sheer multitudes of images, ideas, ideologies, and their respective inventors and ancestry? There is very little mundane and everything seductive about a culture that is continually evolving and accessible en masse. It is an exciting time to be alive. To witness such a rich, intuitive, creative community process unfold with such exponential force is pretty wild.

Having always enjoyed free-style writing, I have discovered it has attributes akin to cooking. I enjoy a varied cuisine (beyond broccoli, almonds, and Barbara’s Puffins) and am often pleased to prepare a meal for personal sustenance and pleasure. There’s a wholly different kind of enjoyment when you prepare a dish for others, (Evenif they don’t help cleanup afterwards). Sharing ones culinary creations, for better or for worse is much the same as sharing one’s written word. We always have a choice to take a taste, or a peak…eat it all, or read it entirely. Digestion is the common denominator. And, indigestion might ensue depending on the relative amount of spice used in the recipe, or for that matter, the diner’s particular sensitivity. Having always been an avid fan of intuition, (unfairly neglecting my own in times past), I strive to assist others in heeding their gut-whenever and wherever. Even when we don’t like the noise it makes.

It is fully expected some will grimace while others may resonate with this blog, as everyone has a palate oriented towards a particular taste, or flavor. Which is why blogs come baring a rather nifty comment feature situated off to the side. Constructive feedback is always welcome and instances of cyberopathy will be dealt with accordingly.

“One size fits all” writing is about as tedious as “one size fits all” cooking. As much as I am a neophyte in this online world, I am more so a “newb” to the art of blogging. This being said, I remain optimistic that this page will continue to evolve with time, as will the overall skill set of yours truly. In the end, the goal is to provide something helpful and easily metabolized for you-the reader.

Until cognitive Metamucil is born, I expect this HANNOCHDOTES page will gel bit-by-bit, addressing matters as they pertain to relationships and overall individual development. Additionally, it will include (my) perspectives on how macro-level culture (society, political/corporate entities alike) contribute both positively and negatively to micro-level culture (the individual/family). Knowing my slightly tangential ways, the topics are likely to deviate from time to time and broaden in scope. And, its possible, they may shrink.

Discerning moment to moment what timeless and timely subjects will be addressed is something that will also depend significantly on the appetite of those visiting this site. So please feel free to inquire about or suggest topics (relevant to mental health and relationships) that are of import to you. These ideas can be sent to me via the Contact Page.
